A factory worker who was counting on the forgetfulness of the Cambodian justice system received a rude shock on Monday when he returned to Kandal’s Khsach Kandal district.
The man had previously been ordered to appear in court back in 2011 after a verbal spat with another villager escalated into violence but instead skipped town for five years, waiting for the heat to die down.
The police clocked him as he slipped into town, and he was promptly arrested.
