Luck ran out for 12 people running an illegal lottery operation on Tuesday. Police arrested the manager and staff of the illicit enterprise in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district, police said. The raid was conducted after approval from Phnom Penh Municipal Police Chief Chuon Sovann after a long-term investigation.

More than 4 million riel ($2,000) was seized from the building out of which the lottery operated. The seven women and five men arrested are being sent to the municipal court. DEUM AMPIL
