Lout assaults wife over ludicrous argument

A 55-year-old man in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district beat his wife with a stick after a trivial argument on Friday, making her get eight stitches on her head.

He also injured her hands, thighs and torso. The pair had an argument over the height of a house under construction, apparently triggered by a conversation with the victim’s brother-in-law.

The victim complained to the police, who placed the suspect in custody at the Dangkor police office.
