Loutish lush badmouths in-law, attacks partner

Mothers-in-law can be the butt of cheesy jokes, but for a Pailin man, irritation at his partner’s mum had all too serious consequences.

The 45-year-old driver, who had a history of physically abusing his 34-year-old other half, came home drunk and hurled insults at his partner’s mother.

When his wife sprang to her mum’s defence, the bully violently attacked her with a stick. The victim was hospitalised, whilst her attacker fled.
