Man brutally bashed in a border town attack

A Poipet man was seriously injured by three masked assailants on Sunday whose identities and motives remain unknown.

The man was on his way home from the pagoda when he was attacked with stones and then beaten by the gangsters, who rendered him near unconscious by the time police responded to a call from witnesses.

The suspects fled the scene undetected and police say they are now conducting an investigation, while the victim has been sent to hospital.
