Man carrying a handbag attracts notice of locals

Phnom Penh traffic thwarted an alleged bag snatcher in Prampi Makara district on Saturday. Police said the man and an accomplice had pulled their moto alongside a young woman who was stopped at a traffic light and grabbed her bag.

However, they were soon forced to stop at another traffic light, prompting the suspect to attempt to flee on foot. Locals’ suspicions were aroused by the sight of man carrying a woman’s handbag, and they, along with nearby police, stopped the suspect and arrested him. Police are still on the lookout for his accomplice. KOH SANTEPHEAP
