Man enacts revenge on mate with blow to head

Old wounds die hard, and fresh wounds . . . well, they get you in Blotter.

And so it was yesterday in Kandal’s Koh Thom district, when two old friends were reminiscing – and drinking – when a bitter memory resurfaced.

“Remember that time that guy beat me up and you didn’t help,” the 23-year-old farmer asked his friend.

Before the victim had a chance to respond, the suspect had picked up a piece of wood and clobbered him over the head, no doubt evening the score in his mind.

A judge will decide if the retribution was justified.
