Man on the hook for shocking fishing tactic

One of three men was apprehended for illegal fishing in Kampong Chhnang town late on Monday.

Police said three men were dropping car batteries into the water to electrocute and catch fish on motorboats when police stopped them.

Two of the men were able to flee by boat; however police were able to arrest one lawbreaker, age 33.

They confiscated his boat, car batteries and other tools of the illegal-fishing trade.

The suspect was sent to court.
