Market thief trades ring for shiny new bracelets

Nobody will be putting a ring on it anytime soon after a woman was arrested for robbery in Kampong Chhnang’s Kampong Tralach district on Sunday.

The woman, 18, allegedly went to a jewellery shop looking to purchase a little bling, police said. She tried on a ring and while the shopkeeper’s back was turned, ran away with it.

The shopkeeper shouted for help and police caught up with the woman, who they promptly arrested. KOH SANTEPHEAP
