A couple's new car was the talk of the neighbourhood on Wednesday, though not for the reasons they’d hoped.

Police said they had just purchased the car that morning and parked it in front of their Poipet home before going in for a rest.

Neighbours soon raised a clamour, awakening them to their new ride – on fire.

The couple ran out and managed to stop the blaze before too much damage was done.

Police suspect enemies of the couple as the arsonists.
