A reckless-driving incident came down to the wire on Saturday when four Chinese men narrowly escaped serious injuries after driving into an electricity pole in the capital.
According to police, the driver ran his Mercedes and three passengers into the pillar at high speed in the early hours of Saturday morning in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district, causing the post to crash to the ground.
Unlike the post, the group narrowly escaped serious harm, though the driver and vehicle have been taken into police custody.
