Mob comes to rescue of beloved Kandal canine

Four alleged thieves trying to steal a dog in Kandal’s Kien Svay district found out that man’s best friend is protected by mob justice. Police said that the crowd pounced on the dognappers, who panicked and took off.

Three escaped but one, aged 39, crashed his motorbike into a tree and broke his leg. Police seized him and confiscated one motorbike and two dogs, who were given back to their owner.

Villagers have previously complained about repeated dog thefts in the village.
