The prospect of mob violence was enough to stop a drunk driver from fleeing the scene after he hit a motorbike early yesterday in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district.
After crashing into the rider and beginning to drive away, the inebriate was stopped by people nearby and threatened with a beating if he went any further.
The threat certainly did the trick, and the injured rider was taken to the hospital while police came to impound the car and pursue legal action against the driver.
