Moto theft morphs into violent robbery, arrest

It began as casual theft and descended into daylight robbery. A 24-year-old man was arrested after stealing a motorbike from a man in the capital’s Prampi Makara district on Tuesday.

Police said the man had the audacity to try to steal the moto as it sat outside the victim’s house. The owner saw what was unfolding and went to intervene.

Rather than being scared away, the suspect instead decided to upgrade his theft to robbery, beating the owner in the process. Police stationed nearby intervened in time and arrested him. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
