Moto thief gambles with pal’s friendship

A Battambang motorbike thief failed to have a back-up plan when a suspicious friend didn’t buy his cover story.

The 22-year-old borrowed a moto from his friend last week and then claimed he couldn’t return it because it was stolen.

The owner didn’t believe the thief and called police who discovered the missing bike had been pawned for $250.

The suspect admitted to using the money for gambling and food. Deum Ampil
