Necklace theft earns thieves shiny bracelets

Two suspects who allegedly attempted to snatch a foreigner’s necklace in the capital’s Prampi Makara district on Friday now seem poised to become well acquainted with a different kind of chains.

Police said the victim was crossing a street when two men on a motorbike attempted to rip off his necklace.

Police witnessed the crime, chased down the culprits and arrested them.

The victim was injured, and police have sent the two men to court.
