Neighbour is a victim of his own good heart

A Sihanoukville man paid a high price for his neighbourly concern yesterday.

The man had overheard what he assumed was a lovers’ quarrel next door, but instead was met with the sight of a robbery in process.

The crook didn’t take kindly to the man’s presence, shooting him in the leg and demanding he not scream before escaping.

Half an hour later, the victim had filed a police complaint and the neighbour was sent to hospital.
