Neighbourhood watch undoes car thievery

A pair of car thieves hadn’t counted on nosy neighbours ruining their perfect heist. The duo followed an officer from the Council of Ministers on Friday, and when he parked his car outside a mechanic shop in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district, the two got to work.

A neighbour saw them fiddling with the car door and shouted, “Thief, thief”, calling the owner to the scene. Police were able to arrest one suspect, but the other got away. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
