Security guards at a market in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet town quickly caught the scent of trouble on Tuesday when three men allegedly attempted to make off with four boxes of perfume.

According to police, the trio broke into a market stall after dark and swiped the expensive fragrances.

Their escape, however, was thwarted by security guards, who spotted the heist, apprehended the men and sent them to the police station.

The group will smell the inside of a court room soon.
