A log-standing grudge led to a violent attack in Kampong Cham town on Sunday.

Police said the victim, a 30-year-old man, was eating something at a local market, when four men approached armed with rocks and one knife and proceeded to attack him in full view of other marketgoers.

Paralysed with fear, no one intervened, and the quartet escaped before police arrived.

The victim, however, was able to provide names and descriptions and an arrest is expected soon.
