Phone thieves busted attempting to fence loot

Two students were detained for stealing a mobile phone yesterday in Phnom Penh. The pair had snatched the phone from a pedestrian in Daun Penh district, causing police to give chase.

The dastardly duo managed to give the cops the slip, but their freedom was short-lived as police passed their details on to district colleagues.

When the pair tried to flog the stolen phone at a shop in Meanchey district, police noticed their incriminating moto number plates, and promptly arrested the pair.
