Phone thieves foiled by their ill-gotten gains

Kampong Chhnang police were able to home in on a pair of burglars with pinpoint accuracy, thanks to the wonders of GPS yesterday.

Having pilfered two phones, along with some cash, from a house on August 13, the burglars must have thought themselves to be scot-free when they tried to flog the phones on August 17.

However, switching on the phones activated the GPS function, alerting the rightful owner – and police - to the location of his phones and their thieves.
