Pickpockets run into trouble working crowd

A teenage pickpocket will likely find the haul too small to justify a looming prison sentence.

Police said the 19-year-old and a friend decided to work the crowd at a beer company-sponsored concert in Preah Vihear on Sunday.

After collecting two mobile phones and a wallet with a whopping $2.50, the crowd was onto them.

While his friend managed to escape into the sea of people, our hapless suspect was left to explain his ill-gotten gain to police. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
