Pilferer on the roof pounded by angry mob

Anecdotal Blotter research suggests a shockingly high number of Phnom Penh burglars end up trapped on roofs surrounded by angry mobs.

The evidence for that theory continued to mount on Friday night in Por Sen Chey district. Police said a second-storey man had made his move when a family went away for the holiday only to be spotted by neighbours.

Surrounded, he panicked and fell from the roof where the waiting neighbourhood watch beat him until pulled off by arriving cops. Kampuchea Thmey
