Wedding scuffle leads to arrest of guest

A 29-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attacking another man at a wedding party in Kampot province’s Chumkiri district on Tuesday. Police said the suspect had been angered when the victim, 28, accused him of taking his water bottle. Police catch ‘robber’ selling stolen goods

Police in the capital’s Por Senchey district arrested a 24-year-old man for alleged burglary on Tuesday. A woman, 28, who had gone to her home town in Kampong Cham for a few days, found her house in disarray when she returned. Her television, radio, laptop, money and assorted goods were also missing. Cigarette thief nabbed while leaving work

Military police in the capital’s Prampi Makara district arrested an employee of a cigarette company for stealing cigarettes from work on Tuesday. Police said the company had filed a complaint when a large number of cigarettes went missing. Police apprehended the suspect, 27, as he was smuggling 15 boxes of cigarettes out of work in his car. Crash sends elderly woman to hospital

A 73-year-old woman was seriously injured when a motorcycle crashed into her in Kampong Speu province’s Kong Pisei district on Wednesday. Police said the 22-year-old driver of the moto was speeding when he hit the woman while she was crossing the street. The driver was arrested immediately and the woman was rushed to hospital.
