Scuffle among friends takes a deadly turn
A knife fight between two friends ended with a fatality in Koh Kong’s Modul Seima district on Monday. Police said the two men had been drinking wine together after Khmer New Year when they began to argue. They fought with knives and a 37-year-old man was killed. The other man was seriously injured. Woman pulled from moto by necklace
A petty thief was caught in the capital’s Sen Sok district on Monday after he allegedly snatched a woman’s necklace and ripped her off her bike. Police said the 22- year-old suspect grabbed the jewellery as the victim rode past on her motorbike. She was pulled from the moto, leaving her seriously injured. Police officer targeted in attack, four arrested
Police in Takeo’s Tram Kak district arrested four men who attacked a police official on Monday. Police nab suspected burglar in the capital
An alleged motorbike thief was arrested in Phnom Penh’s Dangkor district on Tuesday. Police said the 23-year-old suspect had taken the vehicle from outside the home of his victim without being spotted, but a complaint was later made to police. The burglar was detained later when he was witnessed trying to sell the motorbike. He did not confess to the crime after questioning, but the victim confirmed that the vehicle belonged to her.
