Karaoke quitter shot in leg by furious friend
An enraged wedding guest shot his friend in the leg because he refused to continue singing karaoke on Friday night in the capital’s Chamkarmon district. Police said the suspect tried to persuade a group of his friends to continue singing karaoke during a wedding party, but when a few of them declined, he became upset and shot the 29-year-old victim in one of his legs. Robbery victim survives multiple stab wounds
A blood-soaked victim of a robbery and stabbing was found on the side of the road before nearly bleeding to death on Saturday in Sihanoukville. A resident in the area alerted police after they found the victim, who had been stabbed several times and was shouting for help. The victim was hospitalised and police said he was stabbed before being robbed of his motorbike. There are no suspects, but police have launched an investigation. Duem Apil

Kampong Cham resident arrested with illegal gun
One man was arrested in Kampong Cham town on Saturday for allegedly possessing an illegal firearm. Police said they were tipped off by the suspect’s neighbours that he kept an illegal gun in his home. Masked thieves on the lam in Prey Veng
A group of unsuccessful burglars are on the run after breaking into a house in Prey Veng province’s Kampong Trabek district on Friday night. Police said several men entered a residence in an attempt to steal property, but fled the scene when caught by the homeowner, who shouted for help from his neighbours. Battambang man jailed for drug trafficking
A 23-year-old man was arrested for alleged drug trafficking on Saturday evening in Battambang town. Police said they had been building a case against the suspect, who was found in possession of 10 pills of ya ma during the time of his arrest. The suspect will be sent to jail to await trial.
