Police chief’s lorry ‘hits man on motorbike’

A 30-year-old man was severely injured this week in a crash in Ratanakkiri’s Banlung town that involved a lorry belonging to the provincial prison chief, according to local authorities.

Police say the man was drunkenly riding his motorbike and arrived at a crossroad where he collided with the speeding lorry.

He was admitted to a local hospital. The lorry sped away but was found later at the provincial prison chief’s house. DEUM AMPIL
