Police in mirror may be closer than they appear

Seemingly unable to get enough of his own reflection, a thief in Kandal province pinched a car wing-mirror under the watchful eye of car-park security on Monday.

After the 23-year-old robber made the flagrant theft, the security guard tried to stop him from making off with the mirror, police said.

But the thief responded by throwing stones – one of which connected – leaving the security guard in hospital and him under arrest. KOH SANTEPHEAP
