Police pluck teen from mob just in nick of time

Police rescued a teenager from a near-lynching in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district on Saturday, after he tried to steal a motorbike but ended up in the hands of an angry mob.

Police said the 19-year-old was on the ground being kicked and punched, and would have died if they hadn’t arrived in time. Of course, being hospitalised didn’t save the man from subsequently being arrested. The bike was returned to its owner. NOKORWAT
