Police search for overly punctual truck driver

A mother and daughter were badly injured on Friday when a reckless truck driver cared more about speedy delivery than obeying traffic laws.

Police said the mother, 35, was driving her motorbike in Kampong Cham’s Memot district with her daughter, 15.

A truck carrying construction materials tried to pass a car and careened into the oncoming moto.

The mother broke both her legs, and the daughter sustained a head injury, but the truck kept going.

The victims were hospitalised and police are searching for the heartless driver. KOH SANTEPHEAP
