Pre-teen’s cries lead to pre-trial detention

An armed robber found out on Saturday that outsmarting a child isn’t as easy as imagined.

When the girl, 12, was left in charge of her parents’ money exchange in Poipet as they napped, a woman armed with a sharp metal object decided it was a good time to strike and demand money.

Unfortunately for her, she struck out completely when the girl – defying threats of violence – yelled loud enough for her parents and brother to wake up and give chase. The woman is now in jail. KOH SANTEPHEAP
