A motodop was lucky to survive a brutal attack in Ratanakkiri province’s Banlung town on Sunday, after a man pretending to hire his services took him to a secluded spot and choked him into unconsciousness.

The attacker was captured later that day after local residents found the victim and reported the crime to the police. He told the cops he stole $150 from the driver, but said he had been unable to steal the motorbike as intended. RASMEI KAMPUCHEA
