A 34-year-old Phnom Penh woman is in hospital with serious injuries following a nasty accident in Meanchey district yesterday morning.

Police said the woman was transporting vegetables to market in the back of a tuk-tuk when a truck coming in the opposite direction sideswiped the smaller vehicle, leaving her with a broken left arm and a serious head injury.

The truck driver attempted to drive away but police and swarming motodops forced him to a stop. He managed to escape on foot. KOH SANTEPHEAP
