Red-handed ‘addict’ caught torching home

A villager in Takeo’s Bati district managed a citizen’s arrest of a wayward arsonist after he set fire to his neighbour’s home on Sunday.

Police said the 30-year old suspect set the kitchen of his uncle’s home ablaze and fled. A neighbour intercepted his escape, before police arrived and sent the man to court.

The homeowner said he had no prior beef with his nephew, claiming him to be crazed as a result of drug addictions.
