Repayment delay drove man to violence: police

A 32-year-old man allegedly assaulted a couple for paying him back a debt of over one million riel ($250) a little too late.

Police said the man, who was arrested in Phnom Penh’s Por Sen Chey district on Saturday, was furious at the couple, a 35-year-old man and 28-year-old woman, for not paying him back promptly. He was sent to court. KOH SANTEPHEAP
