Return to prison looms after vicious assault

An ex-con accused of savagely beating a construction worker with a rock was captured in Kandal province on Monday.

Cops said the 26-year-old suspect, who has already spent seven years behind bars, launched the attack over a personal dispute, though no further details were offered.

The suspect was taken in for questioning after being arrested in Ang Snoul district, and a court date awaits him.
