Five thieves thought they had got away with ruining a couple’s romantic evening in a park after they allegedly threatened to dispatch the lovebirds with sticks and stones if they didn’t hand over their motorbike on August 31.

The 23-year-old baker and his girlfriend escaped the ordeal without their bike, but police tracked down two of the criminals and arrested them on Tuesday in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district.

The suspects, aged 18 and 23, reportedly confessed to their crime before police seized a motorcycle they were riding.
