Safety in numbers was the name of the game for a gaggle of would-be crooks in Banteay Meanchey province on Friday.

Five men and three women allegedly teamed up to swipe two motos while the thieves took turns playing lookout and posing as the bikes’ owners.

As circumstance would have it, the owners returned and caught the suspects in the act, alerting police who swiftly arrested the gang and sent them to court. Deum Ampil
