Safety first, especially if you’re stealing a moto

Always wear a helmet – if it doesn’t save your life, it could one day save you from arrest. That’s what a Phnom Penh youngster, 24, learned on Tuesday after he stole and rode away on a woman’s motorbike before being stopped by traffic police for riding sans helmet.

At first they slapped him with a “fine” but soon received a call alerting them of a stolen motorbike. The thief skedaddled, running away and jumping into a lake before being arrested. Koh Santepheap
