A drunk and jilted suitor found himself in police custody Tuesday night after beating a woman with a beer mug at a Banteay Meanchey province nightclub, police said.

The drunk suspect allegedly flirted repeatedly with a woman, who rejected him. Angered, police said, he grabbed a beer mug and smashed her in the face several times.

The woman was hospitalised and the suspect confessed, police said. KOH SANTEPHEAP
