Side-swipe lands car passengers in hospital

Two people were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Banteay Meanchey province on Sunday. Police said a car carrying four passengers sped up to overtake a truck.

As it did, the truck turned left without indicating and the car crashed into the side of it. Two passengers were taken to hospital.

The truck driver remained at the scene for questioning but was not arrested. Police impounded both vehicles for further investigation. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
