Sleeping driver almost kills tuk-tuk operator

A young motorist fell asleep behind the wheel of his Range Rover in Phnom Penh on Saturday night and collided with a tuk-tuk, severely injuring its driver.

The accident, which took place at the intersection of Tep Pan street and Mao Tse Toung Boulevard also caused a serious traffic jam.

When police arrived half an hour later, it took them multiple knocks to wake up the Range Rover driver.

The car was impounded and the man was detained at Tuol Kork police station.
