Sleepy mango delivery driver damages houses

An unscheduled mango delivery left two homeowners with a sour feeling on Tuesday in the capital’s Chbar Ampov district.

Police said a truck filled with the fruit was headed back from Vietnam down National Road 1 when the driver, drunk and sleepy, failed to take a tight corner and instead ploughed into not one but two houses.

The homes were badly damaged, but the driver was the only person involved to suffer injuries.

Homeowners and police are now waiting for him to leave hospital so they can settle up.
