Slick snatch needed better exit strategy

A Phnom Penh garment worker was nabbed on Saturday, after scarpering from a phone shop in Prampi Makara district with a handset he pretended to be interested in buying.

The man reportedly made off with the phone after asking to see it and waiting for the vendor to become busy with other customers.

Allegedly a gambling addict, the suspect was caught after the shop owner saw him dash to a waiting motorbike and attempted to speed away.

But he was apprehended by standers-by and reportedly confessed to the police. DEUM AMPIL
