A cowardly attack with a slingshot has a local shoe shiner in danger of partially losing his sight.

Police said the man, 30, was looking for business on a Daun Penh district street when a projectile struck him near the left eye as he approached a restaurant.

His face covered in blood, the man shouted for help and was taken to hospital as the cops arrived.

Police are suggesting the attack may have been revenge for an earlier incident as the man had previously been involved in arguments in the area.
