Snail-like getaway car a poor choice for thief

A farmer in Kampong Speu’s Oral district received a rude awakening yesterday when he discovered his homemade truck had been stolen.

District police were summoned to track down the missing vehicle, but they didn’t need to search far.

A 19-year-old Oral district denizen had taken the truck for an unsolicited spin, but – as you might expect from a homemade truck – he wasn’t breaking any speed records.

After a sloth-paced chase, the youngster was quickly brought to justice.
