Snapshot of violence: shopkeeper hammered

Police are searching for clues after a vicious hammer attack left a 27-year-old photo-store owner badly injured on Monday.

The woman was alone in her Por Sen Chey district shop, say police, when a man and woman entered, hitting her twice in the head with a hammer before escaping. No property was stolen, leaving authorities without an obvious motive.

She is recovering in hospital. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
