Snoozer mistaken for starer by touchy youth

A sleep-deprived man paid a high price for a glaring error yesterday.

The 36-year-old farmer sought out a hammock in a house in Kandal’s Loeuk Dek district to get some shut-eye, when a feisty young man entered.

Believing our dozing protagonist to be glaring at him, the 24-year-old departed, only to return with a stick and bash in the farmer’s moto while he slept.

The stick-wielder was arrested by police at the scene for severe and malicious damage to property.
