Soldier identified in attempted moto theft

A man's trip to the mechanic provided some excitement for residents of the capital’s Daun Penh district on Friday.

Police said the man was checking on the status of his broken car, when three thieves appeared on a motorbike and attempted to take his.

The victim and locals managed to cut off their escape route and capture one of them, who they proceeded to beat until police arrived.

The unlucky thief has since identified his partners, one of whom is a 55-year-old soldier. Kampuchea Thmey
